January 2015 - Empties Part 1

JANUARY 2015 - EMPTIES PART 1

Hello lovely readers, as part of my New Years Resolution I am trying to use more of what I already own in order to de-clutter and get more organised. I have finished a few products this month so wanted to share them with you all.

There are just a few products here but they all worked quite well...

Charles Worthington Front Row Texture Spray - I'm not sure they still make this or not, I think I bought this last year during the summer time. It works really well at adding texture and smells amazing but I do like to use quite a bit of it so it doesn't last that long for me.

Vaseline Essential Moisture Clean Feeling Lotion - This moisturised well but I wasn't really liking the scent, this was just a sample I had so I used it up pretty quickly but I would maybe repurchase this again in a different fragrance.

The next item I used up is the Vaseline Invisible Deodorant Spray - This is great as it's compact and works really well, it smells good too so I would probably repurchase this in the future.

I also used up the Vaseline 2 in 1 Hand Lotion, this worked well at keeping my hands feeling soft but the texture was quite sticky but the smell was really nice and clean.

The final product I used up is the Nuxe Oil - I like to use this in my hair when going out for a special occasion. It has small shimmer particles in it so it looked really nice when it catches the light. I though this was a nice product but the scent is quite strong so you only need a little bit.

Hope you like this post, best wishes :)

2015 - GETTING ORGANISED

2015 - GETTING ORGANISED

Hello lovely readers, Happy New Year! In this blog post I want to share with you some of the ways that I am going to be getting organised this year. I want start the year off my getting more organised and declutter my room to create a tidy and more usable space.
I am going to do this by trying to use what have in order to organise what I own. For example using small boxes to divide up what I have into categories - using small decorative boxes will keep everything looking pretty but will also act as an organiser to keep your things together.

I have used this Ted Baker gift box that I got as a gift to hold all of my mini bath and shower products, but this can also be used to hold a variety or other items including: Makeup, Nail Polish and other Accessories. I love the design of this box so keep it out on display in my room, it looks really lovely as a decorative piece but also has a dual purpose as it acts as extra storage.

Using other small boxes like shoe boxes (I have used a Glossybox) can be used to divide up space in your Drawers. I use a Glossybox to hold my Deodorants, Perfumes and Moisturisers etc. This way they all have their own set space and are much easier to find when you open up the Drawer as they are all positioned upright so I can just grab them when I need them.

I also really love these new mini wooden Drawers that I was given as a gift, any small storage box will work but this one is great as it looks very Shabby Chic and matches most of the storage that I have in my room. At the moment I am using this to divide up my Lip products but again you could use something like this do divide up any number of products - (that may be a future post!)

Hope you liked this post - what is your favourite way to store your Makeup/Accessories?

Best wishes :)

MY 2015 NEW YEAR'S BEAUTY RESOLUTIONS...

MY 2015 NEW YEAR'S BEAUTY RESOLUTIONS...

Hello lovely readers, for today's post I wanted to share with you some of my New Year's Beauty Resolutions that I want to take forward into 2015. There are a few areas that I really want to focus on including... Skincare, Makeup, Nail Care, Hair Care, Body Care and Fragrance.

So here are what I am hoping to do this year...

SKINCARE
I'm hoping to try out some more Skincare brands this year and invest in a good Moisturiser as my skin has become really sore and dry over the past few winter months, so I'm going to have a look for a new one. I'm also going to spend more time on looking after my hands as they have become very dry too, so I'm going to try and use a hand cream every night in order to keep them feeling soft and well hydrated.

MAKEUP
For Makeup I'm hoping to use up the products I have already opened and try and create a number of new looks with them. I don't like to waste anything so I am going to try and use up what I have before going out and buying new products. I am hoping to use up the Foundation and BB Cream that I have before going out and buying a new Foundation/Base product, this way nothing goes to waste but I am still able to try out a new product. I also want to start using the Lipsticks that I own, they are all really pretty but I always seem to wear the same shades so this year I am hoping to experiment with the different shades I have to create a look for each season.
I also want to try and use up the products that I have opened before they expire, this way I don't waste anything but also begin to save space as the products I will have will start to decrease. Then hopefully by Spring I will have used up quite a lot of my 'older' products so that I can buy some new products for the new season.

NAIL CARE
I'm not the best at looking after my Nails so this is something I am going to try and work on during 2015, I also don't paint my nails that often so a lot of my Nail Polishes don't get used but I am going to change that this year and spend a little bit of time each week or so re-painting and maintaining my Nails so that they keep in good condition. I love seeing my Nails painted so I am going to try and make some time to make this a priority - this way my Polishes will get used and my Nails will hopefully look a bit better.

HAIR CARE
I still have lots of product left up to use so I am going to continue with my 'Project Pan' for my Hair Care products, this way I can make some more space to try out new products. I still have way too many Dry Shampoos and other Finishing Products so I am going to continue to use these up before buying more Hair Styling Products.
BODY CARE
This year my main aim for my body is to moisturise at least once a day in order to keep my skin soft and well nourished. I have quite a few Body Moisturisers to use so I can't wait to try them all out!

FRAGRANCE
Much like my other resolutions I am hoping to use up the Fragrances that I have already opened, this way I can try out new ones in the Spring. I don't have that many Perfumes but do like to have a few to change around so I am going to try and keep these ones and use them up over the next year.

Hope you liked this post :)
Best wishes :)
