QUICK TIPS FOR KEEPING YOUR ROOM TIDY

QUICK TIPS FOR KEEPING YOUR ROOM TIDY

Hello lovely readers, for today's post I thought I'd share with you some of the steps I take to keep my room tidy. I've been quite busy at the moment so I haven't been able to tidy my room as much as I would like but I still find a few minutes a day to keep on top of my room cleaning routine.

I thought I would start by telling you a bit about my room and my general room cleaning routine... I like to thoroughly Vacuum my room at least once a week (I do have a Labrador Retriever so this is important for me). As well as this thorough Vacuum I also liked to do a quick Vacuum every other day. It only takes me a few minutes but helps me keep my room looking and smelling fresher. I also dust my room every few days, I don't like to use too many products because these can smell 'overpowering' so I just just a little bit of polish or an Anti-bacterial wipe to remove dust and dirt that may be on surfaces.

I also like to change my bedding once a week (sometimes twice in the Summer), this keeps it smelling fresh and clean (I just love fresh sheets). When your bed is clean and tidy this instantly makes your room look better and gives me motivation to keep on tidying it. You can also use this as a surface to sort our your clean clothes before putting them away in your Drawers or Wardrobe.  I don't have much space in my room for clothes and don't own a Wardrobe so I like to tidy my Drawers up at least once a week to make sure I can find everything I need and make sure their is enough room to store the clothes I have.
Even though I am busy through the week I like to take a few minutes every night just to tidy the surfaces in my room, for example if I've left my Makeup on my Desk I will put it away and store it in  an accessible place so I can find it and use it again the next time I want to use it. I also like tidy my Desk out every now and again, I like to keep organised so that I know exactly where everything is fro the next time I may need it. I have so many Notebooks in my Desk so I often like organise them and put them in a place where they are easy to find but also look tidy. When my Desk it tidy, I just put things away in the storage unit that I have, empty the Bin in my room and that's pretty much it. It doesn't take long but it feels good to had a clean and tidy room, because then you can spend time doing what you really want to - like... Watching a Film, having a Pamper Evening or going out for the day.

What's your room tidying routine?

REVIEW: GARNIER EXPRESS 2 IN 1 EYE MAKEUP REMOVER

REVIEW: GARNIER EXPRESS 2 IN 1 EYE MAKEUP REMOVER

Hello lovely readers, for today's post I am going to be reviewing the Garnier 2 In 1 Express Eye Makeup Remover. I purchased this a few weeks ago from Boots because my other Eye Makeup Remover had just ran out, so I was in need of a new one. The last Eye Makeup Remover I had was also from Garnier but it was one of their Fresh Essentials range. I did like that one but I found I used it up quite quickly so I thought I would try another one from the same brand to compare the two.
The Express 2 In 1 Eye Makeup Remover is slightly different to the previous one I tried as it contains two different parts which means that it has to be shaken up in order to mix the two liquids together. Once they are mixed together the liquid will turn a light shade of purple and you can then put this on a cotton pad and start removing your eye makeup.
I think this works better for me as the makeup dissolves much quicker, I also didn't have to keep tugging at my eye area as the Eye Makeup Remover removed most of my eye makeup with a few seconds. It worked efficiently and did the job well, it also only takes a few drops so this product will last me a lot longer than the Fresh Essentials one.

Their isn't much of a scent with this product either which is good as some people may not like strong scents on their face, I personally prefer unscented products around my eye area as they are very sensitive.
How I used the product:  I made sure the lid was on correctly and make sure it was closed before shaking the bottle to mix the two liquids together. I then got a cotton pad and poured a few drops on it and then help this over my closed eyes for a few seconds, then I removed the cotton pad and saw that most of my eye makeup had been removed. I then went back around my eye area and gently removed any other trace of eye makeup before moving on the the next eye and repeating these steps again.
I then followed this up with my night time skincare routine to remove any other makeup that I have been wearing.

I did like this product and it is inexpensive so I will probably repurchase this again, it does work well at gently removing makeup, the only thing I would say is it does feel very oily only the skin, so I like to wash my face after using this product.

FROM SUMMER TO AUTUMN - MY DRUGSTORE TRANSITIONAL LIPSTICKS

FROM SUMMER TO AUTUMN - MY DRUGSTORE TRANSITIONAL LIPSTICKS

Hello lovely readers, for today's post I am going to be taking you through some of my top Lipstick picks that I would wear in both Summer and Autumn. I chose a few different shades from nudes to brights all of which I would wear for both seasons (I would wear them all year round) but they look especially good in the Summer and Autumn months.

The first Lipstick is the Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick in 620 - Coral Queen. This is such a vibrant orange, it looks good on all skin tones and works well in both Summer and Autumn as it adds colour to the face and warms up the complexion. I think this looks great with minimal makeup/neutral eye makeup as it creates a new take on the traditional bold red lip.

The next Lipstick is the Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick in 660 - In Love With Ginger. I love this! Its similar to the Coral Queen Lipstick but it has more red undertones, making it an ideal for more formal makeup. Its bright and bold but elegant. And as with all of the Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipsticks it does moisturise and keeps your lips looking soft and well hydrated - an element with is important in both the warmer and cooler months.

The third Lipstick is also from Rimmel but this time it s a Lasting Finish Lipstick in the shade 206 - Nude Pink. This is such an 'everyday' wearable colour, it adds a subtle hint of colour to the lips as well as a slight sheen. It look so luxurious and creates that perfect 'no makeup' look. I keep this in my bag everyday as it works with any look. It would look lovely with dramatic eyeliner of with a neutral eye. It just works so well and is moisturising on the lips too, its feels very similar to the Moisture Renew formula from Rimmel. It smells like sweets too which I just love!

The final Lipstick is from Topshop its in the shade - Brighton Rock - This is my only bright pink Lipstick but I love it so much, I didn't use if for ages because I thought it was too nice to use but then I thought, if I like it I should just wear it... so I did and I really liked it. Firstly I love the name, for some reason though it makes me think of The Beatles (I love them!), I'm not sure why it makes me think of them but I guess that's just another reason for me to love it. Secondly the packaging is just lush, it's so clean and chic and it has that satisfying click sound when you put the lid back on it ( or is that just me that likes that sound?).
And finally the colour is just so pretty it looks so cute and once again the Lipstick smells like sweets so I love wearing it.

REVIEW: GOT2B VOLUME + SHINE SOUFFLE'

REVIEW: GOT2B VOLUME + SHINE SOUFFLE'

Hello lovely readers, for today's post I am going to be doing a review on the Got2Be Volume + Shine Souffle' from Schwarzkopf. I got this a few weeks (probably months) ago in a Glossybox so I thought I would try it out. I've got too many hair products already but some just don't work for my hair. I have quite 'flyaway' fair and although its gotten slightly thicker over the past couple of years it can still look quite oily, so I have to be careful about what products I use because I don't it to look greasy.
I was really looking forward to trying this as it is a unique formula and looks so different (it's pink!) which I really like. It has quite a sweet scent but its not overpowering, the formula itself is like it says a souffle'. I think it looks and feels like a Strawberry Mousse', you get quite a lot of product too (100ml) and you only need a really small amount so it would last you a while which is always a good thing.

THE PACKAGING: The packaging is really unique its a rose gold colour which instantly makes me thing luxurious, the top of the lid is a dark but bright pink which makes it stand out well and the design of the lid makes it much easier for you to open. The packaging is quite a strong plastic so I feel like the product is secure enough and as its a Souffle' non of the product should leak anywhere. I do like the stylish but modernist take on the packaging its gives subtle hints about the product throughout its design.

HOW I USE THE PRODUCT: I use this product on clean dry hair, to do this I take a small pea sized amount and rub the product in the palms of my hands then I lightly distribute the product throughout the lengths of my hair to add shine, I sometimes use any extra product that is left on my hands and take this underneath pieces of hair to add volume, but for me I usually use this product to tame 'flyaway' hairs.

MY THOUGHTS: I do this this product helps tame hair and keeps it looking tidy, it also adds a subtle amount of shine and for those who love a sweet scent you will probably really enjoy that too. I wasn't too sure about the scent, its a little too sweet for me, but the product itself works really well and you can us it in a number of ways. For example: Add shine, neaten up 'flyaway' hairs (this makes it great for formal looks) and add volume (adds texture for a tousled look).

Have you tried this product? What are your thoughts?
