Jewellery Organisation - Part 2

Jewellery Organisation - Part 2

Hello lovely readers, for today's post I am going to continue on the Jewellery organisation theme and show you two ways in which I organise my Jewellery.
The first is in a box that I got at Sainsbury's quite a while ago, but I'm sure there are similar storage solutions around, maybe in TK Maxx or little gift shops and there are always good things in Charity shops that you can use to store your Jewellery. I can't remember the price of this but I think it was less than £12, its an item I have shown before in one of my earlier posts, so you can tell how much I love it. The box in question has a glass lid that is framed with a pretty floral lace and the remainder of the box is made out of wood and painted in a light Duck Egg blue. The box has dividers already in it that are permanently fixed to the box so you can't move them but they are strong as they are made from wood. I use this box to store my small Necklaces, Bracelets and a variety of Rings. They aren't in a particular order but everything is still easy to find.

The second box is actually designed to hold Keys but I used it to store larger Bracelets, i think this is a unique way of using the box and makes its already vintage design look more old fashioned.
I purchased this Key box from TK Maxx a few months ago but they sell a number of decorative items such as this. I usually keep this standing up in my room but I it would look really nice in any room of the house.

Hope you liked this post :)
Which storage solution is your favourite?

Best wishes :)

Jewellery and Accessory Clear Out and Organisation Part 1

Jewellery and Accessory Clear Out and Organisation part 1

Hello lovely readers, for today's post I wanted to share with you a few pictures I took whilst organising some of my Jewellery and Accessories. The Jewellery in these pictures are less expensive pieces and mainly consist of large Necklaces and Bracelets. I just thought I'd share a few of the pictures with you and tell you how I decided to organise them.

The first thing I did was organise the pieces by type for example Gold, Silver and Bronze (none of these are really made from these materials, its just the shade then are). I then untangled all of the necklaces and put them into different drawers in my Jewellery box so that they would be easier to find. I made small paper envelopes for some of the larger Necklaces and labelled them with the individual item so that I could find them more easily. I thought that they would have better protection in the handmade paper envelopes rather than just being left out in the drawers when they could just get tangled up again. I also looked through each piece and filled a small bag with items that I am going to donate to my local Charity shop/give to family members. There as some nice pieces but some are from when I was at College/School so a lot of the trends have changed so I want to let someone else have them and wear them more that I do.
Once putting all of these organised items away I just had a tidy through were my Sunglasses were and gave them a bit or a tidy as they were all together at the top of my Jewellery box. After this I dusted down the Jewellery box and began sorting out my other Jewellery organiser that holds smaller Necklaces, Bracelets and Rings (that will be in an up coming blog post).

Hope you liked this post :)

How do you organise your Accessories?

Best wishes :)

EMPTIES #2

EMPTIES #2

Hello lovely readers in today's post I am going to share with you a few of the products I have used up recently, there are only a few here so this is just a quick post, but I just wanted to let you know what products I have been using.

The first item is the Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation - I love this Foundation, it looks really natural and blends really well. It doesn't have a strong scent and the colour match is really quite good. I use one of the lightest shades and that works well for my skin. I really like the smooth texture too, it just glides over the skin and just adds a little bit of coverage. Technically there is about one use left in this Foundation but I still wanted to include this as I will be wearing this tomorrow so the product will be empty then.

The second item I have finished is the Garnier Fresh Essentials Eye Make-up Remover, I did really like this and it smelt lovely and fresh but I did use it up quite quickly so I would need to purchase it on a regular basis. I am currently using a new Eye Make-up Remover but this is one I would re-purchase in the future as it was very gentle on the eyes and removed quite a bit of makeup.

The third item I have used up is the Vaseline Active Fresh 24h Protection Anti-Perspirant - this roll on works really well and it is nice and compact so it is good if you are travelling, you can just put it in  your bag when you are on the go. I think this goes smell quite fresh and keeps me feeling clean throughout the day (its a good thing I like it, I've got another one to use up too, hehe)
It dries quickly on the skin and the smell is subtly noticeable throughout the day.

The final product is the Umberto Giannini Instant Beauty Leave-in Conditioner (yay! I finally used this up, it has taken me ages to finish this but now I can try out the other hair products I have). I did like this it was refreshing to use a leave-in conditioner as I usually use a regular wash in wash out one, but his made my hair look shiny and feel more hydrated. I wasn't too sure about the scent at first as it smells quite strong to me but after a while I did start to like the scent.

I also used up the Juice Beauty Green Apple SPF 15 Moisturiser - This smells really good, really clean and fresh. But I did need to use quite a bit of this as the texture isn't very smooth, but it did work well when I have more of the product. I did like this product and did I mention I liked the smell of it?

Hope you liked this post :)

Best wishes :)

HAIR CARE/STYLING - SAVE MONEY, SAVE SPACE

HAIR CARE/STYLING - SAVE MONEY, SAVE SPACE

Hello lovely readers for today's blog post I wanted to share with you an idea I've had to save money and save space. I live in a house that doesn't have much wall space, so we can't really have Shelves or tall Bookcases to store our personal items, so keeping what I own to a minimum is an essential for me. I don't like to have too many products at one time but somehow I've managed to get quite a few Hair care and Styling products over the last couple of months. Most of them are gifts so I do really want to use them up, so that's exactly what I am going to do. I am going to set myself a challenge to not buy any more Styling products until January 2015 (this excludes Shampoos, Conditioners and Heat Protection). I think this will increase space as I will be using products that are taking up quite a bit of space but this will also save me money as I won't have to buy any of these products as I already own them.

I don't want to have finished all of these products but just I want to be left with a few less that I have now. For example have 1 or 2 Dry Shampoos not 5. Products like Hairsprays and Shine sprays are something that I don't often use so I know I will probably be left with those at the end of the year. I also wash my hair everyday so I only use Dry Shampoo to add volume to my hair. So I am also going to see if my sister would like any of these products as I have quite a lot of the same thing, so if she would like to try them she can.

I've also thought about writing posts for future Organising/How to Save Money if you are interested in reading those types of posts, I am happy to write them :)

Here is a quick look at the products I am going to give to my Sister/start to use up. There's a lot of Dry Shampoo and finishing products that I have started to use and some items just need to be moved somewhere I can access them easily so that I remember to use them up.  There are a few items that don't have much product left so they won't take too long to finish.

BEING NOMINATED FOR A LIEBSTER AWARD #2

BEING NOMINATED FOR A LIEBSTER AWARD #2

Hello lovely readers, recently I was given a second nomination for a Liebster Award, I was so excited I am so happy that people like to read my blog posts, it means so much to me and I just wanted to thank everyone that has read my blog so far and also thank those who have followed me on Twitter and on Bloglovin' to keep up to date with my latest posts. Thank you so much, I really do appreciate it :)

For this blog post I am going to answer the questions sent to me by the lovely Miss Ellen also know as Floral Beauty - http://xfloralbeauty.blogspot.co.uk/
Thank you so much Miss Ellen, I am so pleased you like my reading my blog and so happy to be nominated for a Liebster Award :)

I have done another blog post on the Liebster Award and chose some of my favourite Bloggers and nominated them for a Liebster Award.
In this post I am going to answer the questions Ellen sent to me to answer as part of the Liebster Award.

Here are the questions...

1. Favourite Lip Product?
I really love Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipsticks and the Kate Moss Lipsticks too, they are really easy to apply and both of them are really inexpensive so you can try out a few of the shades instead of just one.

2. Favourite Drugstore Brand?
I have quite a few but I really like MUA and Sleek at the moment.

3. Favourite High End Brand?
I've not really had that many High End items in my makeup collection, but I did really like the Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mascara and I love the Benefit packaging. I really want to try out some of their box blushers, I have one, so I will need to try that out soon. And I would love to try something from Chanel.

4. Favourite Summer Trend?
I'm loving bright Orange Lipstick - I love this all year round but vibrant shades of Orange just look so beautiful during the summer.
For Fashion I'm loving Festival clothing, Tribal Prints and statement Jewellery.

5. Favourite Youtubers?
I have so many favourite Youtubers, I just love watching new videos. I love Vivianna Does Makeup, Lily Pebbles, Bethany Mota, Essie Button, Tati from Glam Life Guru, Lux & Makeup, Amelia Liana, To the 9's, StyleSuzi and lot's more.

6. Favourite Song/Book/Movie?
I'm not sure what my favourite song is, I do have quite a few but I do really like Brandon Flowers - Only the Young,  But there are so many I love.
My favourite book is probably Great Expectations/Pride and Prejudice, I love them both.
Since I love films I have a few favourites but some of my most watched films include: The Notebook, Love Actually and Nowhere Boy.

7. Favourite Skincare product?
I really like the Neutrogena 2 in 1 Visibly Clear Face Wash and Mask - It's something I have re-purchased a number of times. A good moisturiser is also an essential for me too.

8. Lazy Day Look?
A lazy day look for me would include no makeup - just Lip Balm, hair tied up, comfy clothes and comfy shoes.

9. Heels or Flats?
Flat shoes for me, I never really wear Heels, I think I only have one pair and they are really small heels, I think I've only worn them once.

10. What age were you when you first started wearing makeup?
I think I started wearing a bit of Eyeliner and Concealer when I was about 15 or 16 but that was all really.

11. Favourite Style Era (50's, 60's etc)
I love this question, I think there is something I like from each era but I love the 60's Mod clothing, Shirt Dresses, Eyeliner and my favourite the Parka. I have a Parka from Fred Perry that I purchased before University, it is my favourite clothing piece that I own and something that I will always keep. It keeps me warm in winter but not too warm and I just think it's really comfortable to wear.

Thank you so much Miss Ellen for nominating my blog it really does mean a lot to me as I really love blogging.

SOME QUICK SKINCARE PURCHASES

SOME QUICK SKINCARE PURCHASES

Hello lovely readers for today's post I wanted to share with you a few of the Skincare items I picked up when I visited Boots during the week. I really needed another Eye Makeup Remover because mine was running out and I really wanted to try another one in order to review it in the future. I purchased three new Skincare items that I am really looking forward to trying. One is a Moisturiser - I don't know why but I always seem to be buying Moisturiers, I have quite dry skin skin so I tend to use quite a bit, so I picked up a new one, one I haven't tried before. And finally, I picked up a Toner - I didn't own one so I thought it would be a good idea for me to try one out, to see if it would help cleanse my skin and leave it feeling more refreshed.

The first item is the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Blackhead Eliminating Cleansing Lotion - I think I may have tried this a few years ago when I was in my teens but I don't think I ever repurchased it - I'm not sure why though because after using it a couple of times I'm really starting to like it a lot. I fee like it refreshes my skin and leaves it just that bit cleaner, it does have quite an unusual scent but I don't mind that. I use a Cotton Wool pad and pour a few drops of this onto it and sweep it across my face after cleansing and before moisturizing. I'm not sure if this is the correct way to use it but I will have to have a check. I've noticed that it does pick up makeup that has been left behind after cleansing my skin. (I do double cleanse but this seems to just clean up the last remaining bits of foundation that I hadn't quite removed properly).

The next item I purchased it the Garnier Express 2 in 1 Eye Make-up Remover - I haven't tried this yet but am looking forward to using it. It's one you have to shake before using, as it contains two different liquid formulas. It is supposed to remove makeup more easily and gently so I can't wait to try it.

Finally I purchased this Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Oil-free Moisturiser - This smells lovely, it's so sweet an fresh. I've used it a couple of times and it really does help to keep my skin hydrated throughout the day and of course the packaging is pink!
(This is the Moisturiser in the box)
Hope you liked this post :)

Have you tried any of these?

Best wishes :)

PINK AND ORANGE SUMMER MAKEUP AND NAILS

PINK AND ORANGE SUMMER MAKEUP AND NAILS

Hello lovely readers for today's post I wanted to share with you some of my favourite Pink and Orange Makeup and Nail Products and a few of my essentials.

My first essential is this clear Makeup bag from H&M it's perfect for keeping all of your most used summer items in an the neon accents really make it stand out.

The next item is this Barry M Gelly Orange Nail Polish in Satsuma, it so lovely and bright and lasts for a really long time and it's really affordable and the colour is one of my must haves for summer.

The next item is the Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick in Coral Queen. This is such a beautiful bright shade that I love wearing during the summer, well anytime really it's just so pretty and it doesn't dry out your lips like some other Lipsticks so it's great for the warmer weather.
The next item is also from Rimmel London and it is their Fix and Perfect Pro Primer, this is quite a new purchase but is one that I am quite happy with. I does feel really smooth on my skin and is a step that I have added before applying Foundation/Concealer.

The next item is this Ciate' Nail Polish in Raspberry Collins - I've not tried this yet but i am really looking forward to wearing it. It's a colour that I can imagine wearing for all seasons.

And finally this Rimmel London Blusher in Santa Rose is a great summer essential as it adds warmth to the face whilst complimenting lot's of different Lipstick shades.

Hope you liked this post :)

What are some of your Summer Makeup Essentials?

Best wishes :)

MINI H&M BEAUTY HAUL

MINI H&M BEAUTY HAUL

Hello lovely readers for today's post I wanted to share with you some the recent purchases I have bought from H&M, there are only a few items but I thought that they were still something I wanted to share.

The first item I purchased is this clear makeup bag with florescent accents. This is so nice, it;s very summery and bright and I love the checklist details on the front. This was also a really good price at £1.99.

The second item is this Nail Care kit - it's so cute and compact and contains all the essentials that I would need. I don't usually do that much with my nails but recently I have been more interested in painting my nails and looking after them better especially since the weather will be changing soon.
This kit is perfect for that as it contains everything I will need, such as nail buffers and a nail brush to clean my nails. The kit is also in a really compact size so it will be great to travel with. This costs £1.99.

The final item I purchased is this blue and cream heart printed hair tie - its just so cute and was only £2.99 so it wasn't too expansive but looks like an accessory you would use to dress up an outfit.

Hope you liked this post :)

What is your favourite of these three items?

Best wishes :)

PRETTY PASTEL POLISHES

PRETTY PASTEL POLISHES

Hello lovely readers for today's post I wanted to show you some of the new Nail Polishes I will be trying out this month. I was given these for my Birthday a few months ago from my sister but I haven't really tried them out yet so I'm excited to try the out this month as they are pretty summer shades.

There are three shades in this post, two of them are gel Polishes and one of them is a scented Polish. I love the colours, there is a Mint one that smells like Apple Pie - but to me it smells more like a sweet Apple scent, this is part of the Fruit Pastel collection.
The next shades are both Hyper Gel Polishes - these shades are both really nice their is a pretty pastel pink (like a pink milkshake shade) and a neutral beige that I think is lovely for all seasons.
The Pink Polish is in Pink Veneer
The Beige Polish is in Naked Glow

Which is your favourite of these three Polishes?

Hope you like this post :)

Best wishes :)

WHAT'S IN MY BAG #1

WHAT'S IN MY BAG  #1

Hello lovely readers for today's blog post I thought I'd share with you my first ever What's In My Bag post. I really enjoy watching these on Youtube but thought that writing a blog post would also be useful since I don't make videos at the moment. This particular post relates to all the little essentials I carry around with me on a daily basis when I'm out and about, so let's get started...

This is my bag, it's a small Satchel that I recently bought from Next. It's the perfect size to carry around essentials and only cost £22, which I thought was really good. I love Satchels and have been looking for one for a while now, so I was really excited when I saw this, the print inside the bag is lovely too.

The bag has one zipped compartment inside and then has a small compartment at the front which I usually store Lip Balm in. The zipped compartment as the back is the only part of the bag that zips but the bag does close quite securely on the front with the use of magnetic buttons that are behind the buckle detailing.

Lovely floral print inside the bag.

This what is inside my bag...

Pink Notebook - TKMaxx

Belvita Breakfast Biscuits or some sort of Cereal Bar

Two Pens - One Blue one Black

My Purse

Post-it notes

My Phone

Face Wipes or something to clean my hands with.

In the back zipped compartment I keep my essential makeup items...

Two Concealers - one for under eye and one for other areas of my face.

Soap and Glory - One Heck of a Blot Powder - This also has a mirror in it so I don't have to bring one

Seventeen Eyebrow Pencil

My lip product of the day, this one is the Revlon Kissable Balm Stain in Honey

In the front compartment I also keep a small tube of Carmex Mint Lip Balm and some Chewing Gum

And that's pretty much everything I keep in my bag.

Hope you liked this post :)
